Vilgain — peanut & almond butter
Single-ingredient nut butters — roasted nuts ground slowly until smooth, and nothing else in the jar.

Why we love it
I've written before about how often extra sugar and palm oil sneak into everyday foods, and nut butter is one of the usual suspects — so I love that these are just nuts. The peanut butter is simply roasted peanuts, and the almond butter is 100% dry-roasted almonds, slowly ground until properly smooth. That's the whole ingredients list.
Vilgain sent me a jar of each to try, and they've since become a staple in my kitchen: on porridge, in smoothies, on sourdough with banana, and occasionally straight from the jar on a teaspoon — no judgement here. The texture is lovely too, smooth and pourable where a lot of natural nut butters end up dry and claggy.
One practical note if you're new to single-ingredient nut butters: the oil naturally separates because there's nothing added to hold it together. Give the jar a good stir when you first open it and store it upside down, and you're sorted.
